Overview

Marvel’s range of single and double side coated textiles are also customized to serve as Geo Membranes. We offer a variety of coatings to make the products serve a long life span and at the same time remain anti-fungal and water repellant. In addition all our geomembranes are anti-bacterial and fire retardant. Geomembrane is a synthetic membrane material used in various geotechnical and environmental applications. It is a flexible, impermeable sheet made from polymers such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polypropylene (PP), or ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). Geomembranes are designed to provide a barrier against the seepage or leakage of liquids, gases, or contaminants in a wide range of applications. They are commonly used in the following areas:

1.Environmental Protection: Geomembranes are used in landfill liners and caps to prevent the migration of contaminants into the soil and groundwater. They are also utilized in containment ponds, lagoons, and reservoirs for the storage of hazardous or industrial waste, wastewater, and mining tailings.

2.Water Management: Geomembranes are employed in the construction of dams, canals, and irrigation channels to prevent water loss through seepage. They help to improve water storage and conservation, as well as prevent the contamination of water sources.

3.Agriculture and Aquaculture: Geomembranes are used in agricultural applications such as lining ponds for fish farming, shrimp farming, and irrigation reservoirs. They create a watertight barrier, preventing seepage and protecting the environment from the release of fertilizers or pesticides.

4.Civil Engineering: Geomembranes are utilized in various civil engineering projects, including tunnels, underground structures, and retaining walls. They provide waterproofing and protection against the ingress of water and chemicals.

5.Mining Industry: Geomembranes are used in mining operations to line tailings ponds, heap leach pads, and storage areas to prevent the seepage of potentially harmful substances into the surrounding environment.

Geomembranes are chosen based on their specific properties, including thickness, strength, flexibility, chemical resistance, and UV stability. They are often installed with proper welding techniques to create a continuous and reliable barrier.

The entire Coated Textile range is VOC compliant and meets the highest industry benchmark of REACH Compliance. They are completely lead and heavy metal free and are odorless even at temperatures exceeding 90 degree Celsius.

We have a range of post processing equipment which helps us deliver customized designs for end applications and our proprietary coatings serve very specific applications. Contact us about how we can help in your geo-membrane requirements.
